Established in 2003 as an initiative of the Southern Star Group, Southern Star Singapore is fast becoming a leading producer of children's programming and factual programming in the Asian region. The Singapore office consists of 45 highly skilled animators, designers and technical support staff.
The Southern Star Group is Australia's largest independent television production and distribution operation. It was formed in 1973, originally as the Australian offshoot of legendary cartoon producers Hanna Barbera. The Sydney-based Group has a significant production presence in the UK as well as in Singapore. The Southern Star Group was acquired in 2004 by Southern Cross Broadcasting (Australia) Limited, a prominent Australian television and radio broadcaster.
